Greetings from Sacramento!
With only seven weeks to go, we are at full-throttle with the planning of the 2020 Child Health, Education, and Care Summit.
The Summit theme, “Equity in Action: Elevating Children, Families, and California’s Workforce,” represents the natural evolution of this statewide event – from building partnerships, to promoting collective impact, to providing leadership around critical programs and investments designed to benefit young children and their families. The Summit provides the perfect forum for the spectrum of early childhood stakeholders to learn from, collaborate with, and empower one another.
There are over 40 workshops to choose from during the three days with plenty of time for networking with vendors and colleagues coming from all areas of California and beyond. We have a spectacular lineup of keynote speakers. Our opening keynote is Erin Gruwell, Educator and Author, Freedom Writers Foundation. On day two, Rosemarie Allen, President and CEO, Center for Equity and Excellence, will speak during the morning session and Patricia Kuhl, Professor and Co-Director, University of Washington Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences, will be the lunch keynote. Nadine Burke Harris, Surgeon General of California, will close during lunch on day three.
Early-bird registration closes on December 19. We encourage folks to make their reservations as soon as possible. And remember, it’s never too late to sponsor the Summit. To discuss sponsorship opportunities further, please contact Monica Roy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you at the Summit!
